Why Aligners?

Made from thin, flexible plastic, clear aligners offer a discrete, comfortable, and convenient way to straighten your teeth. Unlike traditional braces, aligners are virtually invisible and removable, allowing you to maintain your normal lifestyle without disruption. They are custom-made to fit your teeth and gradually shift them into the desired position.

Aligners are ideal for correcting mild to moderate orthodontic issues, including overcrowding, gaps between teeth, and jaw misalignment. They also make eating and oral hygiene easier - simply remove them when you eat or brush your teeth. With regular wear and expert guidance from our Orthodontists, aligners provide an effective, subtle solution for achieving a straighter, more confident smile.

Types of Aligners We Offer

Aligners are a great alternative to braces, and we currently offer two options - Invisalign and Angel aligners. Here’s what’s involved:
Perhaps the most well-known form of aligner, Invisalign is designed with maximum comfort in mind. Our specialist Orthodontist, Dr Orolloga is a “Platinum Elite” provider of Invisalign, delivering over 500 successful Invisalign solutions to grateful patients. Regardless of your orthodontic issue, Invisalign is an effective, comfortable and discreet teeth straightening choice.
One of the world’s leaders in clear aligner technology, Angel aligners are backed by evidence-based clinical expertise, with over 1 million smiles benefitting around the world! Dr Orolloga is highly skilled and proficient at using clear aligners such as Angel to treat even the most complex of orthodontic cases.

Our Aligners Treatment Process

Getting started with us is very straightforward - here’s what’s involved:
 Consultation icon
To begin the process, simply arrange a free, no-obligation consultation, where you can ask questions and understand our treatment processes. If you’d like to proceed, our orthodontic assessment costs £125 for adults and is free for under 18s. Photographs and digital scans will be taken to determine the extent of your bite issues, and whether aligners are suitable for you.
Teeth Planning icon
Once your teeth have been assessed, we’ll form a bespoke treatment plan to outline specific timeframes and expectations, as well as any other preparatory steps. We’ll map out the desired tooth movement using digital models and advanced imaging, helping to achieve the most
Fitting the Devise
Once your aligners are ready, we’ll ensure they fit comfortably and provide instructions on how to wear and care for them. Aligners should be worn for 22 hours a day, and you’ll switch to a new set approximately every 1-2 weeks, allowing your teeth to shift gradually.
Dentist Checkup
To monitor your progress, we’ll arrange regular check-ups with you - often every 6 to 8 weeks. These quick appointments ensure your teeth are moving as planned and allow us to make any necessary adjustments for the best results.
Metallic Fixed Braces

Once your treatment has ended, it’s important to avoid an “orthodontic relapse”; where the teeth shift back into the wrong positions. We will provide you with a custom-fitted retainer to maintain the correct position of your teeth, as well as any aftercare advice to help you enjoy your new smile.

"Accessible orthodontics were incredibly helpful as I decided on my Invisalign treatment. Nestor was very patient and understanding as I asked for certain things to be adjusted, as I carried on through my treatment. Everything is very specified to how you’d like your ending result to look like and is a really healing experience after disappointing results from previous treatment elsewhere. I can’t thank Nestor and his team more for everything they’ve done as I’ve completed my Invisalign treatment, the results are more than I could have hoped for, I really recommend it."

"I was fitted in quickly and very happy with the product I received, but a special mention to the members of staff who were all lovely and made me feel at ease as someone who doesn't have the best history with dental settings. Can't recommend highly enough!"

    FAQs

How long does treatment with clear aligners take?

Treatment time varies depending on the complexity of your case but typically ranges from 12 to 18 months. We’ll provide you with a personal timeline during your consultation.

    Can children use aligners?

Children and teenagers can use clear aligners, although it is generally preferred that the child has lost all their baby teeth before starting treatment using an aligner. During your orthodontic assessment, we’ll assess whether aligners are the right option and recommend the most effective treatment for your child’s needs.

How much do your aligners cost?

The cost of your treatment will depend on the severity of your orthodontic issue, and the type of aligner you choose. Our pricing is as follows:

    • Orthodontic Assessment: £125 (Free for Under 18s)
    • Invisalign Aligners: Between £3,015 - £5,045 (Learn more)
    • Angel Aligners: Between £3,015 - £4,865 (Learn more)

    Are clear aligners painful?

You may experience mild discomfort when switching to a new set of aligners, but this usually fades within a few days as your teeth adjust. Most patients find aligners more comfortable than traditional braces.

Should I dispose of my old aligners after wearing them?

We recommend keeping your previous set of aligners until your treatment is complete. If you lose or damage your current aligners, wearing the previous set can help maintain your progress while we arrange a replacement.
